The 2024 collaborative solo album from Hot Chip frontman Joe Goddard feat. Eno Williams of Ibibio Sound Machine, British rapper Oranje, former Wild Beasts frontman Hayden Thorpe, Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor + Al Doyle, Tom McFarland of Jungle, as well as Bronx-raised singer Fiorious (on the single „New World (Flow)”), Brooklyn singer Barrie (on the single „Moments Die”), Guinean singer Falle Nioke and British jazz musician Alabaster DePlume.
On 14 tracks with influences from UK garage, house, hip-hop, pop and disco – Goddard provides the space for a range of collaborators. The voice of Ibibio Sound Machine’s Eno Williams rides the Afro-house groove of ‘Progress’, while the boom-bap track ‘When Love’s Out of Fashion’ features British rapper Oranje. Former Wild Beasts frontman Hayden Thorpe lends his uniquely expressive voice to the low-slung house track „Summon”, and Joe’s Hot Chip bandmates Alexis Taylor and Al Doyle both appear on the glossy half-step ballad „Heal Your Mind”.
Other guests on Harmonics include Tom McFarland from London dance-pop group Jungle, Bronx-raised singer Fiorious (on the single „New World (Flow)”), Brooklyn singer Barrie (on the single „Moments Die”), Guinean singer Falle Nioke and British jazz musician Alabaster DePlume.
