EXTRAORDINARY TRIPLE DISC SET OF SUPERB PETER GABRIEL BROADCASTS.
Born in Chobham, Surrey on 13th February 1950, Peter Gabriel first found fame with Genesis before departing to embark on a successful solo career in 1975. With numerous chart hits, such as ‘Solsbury Hill’ and ‘Sledgehammer’, Gabriel’s songwriting prowess resulted in universal critical and commercial acclaim, with his 1986 album So being certified triple platinum in the UK and five times platinum in the United States.
This three disc boxed set celebrates the enduring success of Peter Gabriel, featuring as it does three superb performances captured for FM broadcast across the 80s and 90s. Kicking off on DISC ONE is a quite stunning set performed at the Paramount Theatre, Seattle, on the 10th August 1983.
Next, DISC TWO features Peter Gabriel’s outstanding set from Amnesty International’s Human Rights Now! Tour, recorded at the final concert of the tour in Buenos Aries on October 15th, 1988. This enticing set culminates on DISC THREE with Gabriel’s 1994 appearance at Woodstock, which proved to be one of the best sets of the festival and to this day remains a standout performance from the great man’s lengthy career.
