The year 2013 saw the launch of the concert series ‘Heimatlieder Aus Deutschland’, for which immigrants in Germany played folksongs from their native countries. Former Malaria!-member Gudrun Gut, nowadays considered „the grande dame of the Berlin underground”, was commissioned to remix eight of those traditional songs from various continents. The result is a fascinating record which also spreads a political message.
